Most of us learned about boundaries the hard way.Someone taught us, explicitly or by example, that a boundary is something you enforce. A line you draw. It shows up in a decision made calmly, a conversation redirected, a commitment honoured to yourself without drama.This is why boundaries built from the outside in, from rules, from advice, from what we think we're supposed to do, keep failing. They're not rooted in anything. They're positions, not expressions. And positions collapse under pressure because there's nothing alive underneath them holding them in place.The work is not learning better boundary strategies.
